Children learn the mathematics behind unfamiliar questions while developing the visual and spatial reasoning needed for Non-Verbal Reasoning.
Areas will include
- Number, place value and calculation
- Fractions, decimals, percentages and ratio
- Multi-step problems and mathematical reasoning
- Shape, space, measure and data
- Patterns, sequences, rotations and spatial relationships
- NVR technique, timed practice and accuracy

11+ English & VR
Children learn to read closely and express ideas precisely while building the vocabulary, language patterns and logic used in Verbal Reasoning.
Areas will include
- Fiction and non-fiction comprehension
- Retrieval, inference and authorial technique
- Vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms and word relationships
- Grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Codes, sequences and verbal logic
- VR technique, timed practice and accuracy

Hello, I'm Stephen.
I have spent around 20 years in primary education and school leadership. Children make the strongest progress when expectations are high, explanations are clear and they feel comfortable enough to think aloud, make mistakes and try again.
The aim is not simply to work through papers. It is to help your child understand more, reason more confidently and approach the 11+ feeling properly prepared.

Tests vary by area and school. The first conversation establishes which tests your child is targeting. I will be honest if the group is not the right match.

Yes. These are live online small-group lessons, not pre-recorded videos.
Children will receive an hour of purposeful practice. The intention is useful preparation, not unnecessary workload. This is extra to the reading habit they should be developing in Year 5.
